Remember, Remember...

... The 5th Of November.

After a strong start with Bound and The Matrix, The Wachowski brothers disappeared up their own backsides with the Matrix sequels. On the 400th anniversary of Guy Fawkes' attempt to blow up Parliament their new movie V For Vendetta gets released and the initial signs are good.

Based on a 1988 graphic novel by Alan Moore and illustrator David Lloyd, V For Vendetta is set against the 'futuristic landscape of a totalitarian Britain'. A young woman is rescued from a life-and-death situation by masked vigilante 'V'. 'V ignites a revolution when he detonates two London landmarks and takes over the government-controlled airwaves, urging his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression'. Natalie Portman, Hugo Weaving and John Hurt star.

Check out the great trailer at the official site.
