And a new one just begun

Happy New Year.
It's now 2006 and it seems that life is passing by so quickly. Time flies like an arrow (fruit flies like a banana). Some things change, some things stay the same.

Think about the future...
As a child I thought that by the year 2000 there would be flying cars, robot house servants, underwater cities, complete meals the size of a pill and man would be farming on Mars.

So what do we have in the 21st Century instead? Global Warming, Spam, Hardcore Porn at the click of a button, Congestion Charging, a Z-list celebrity culture and Hoodies.

For me the present day is a little disappointing. Ah, the optimism of youth.

The Shape of things to come...
This year I'm looking forward to watching Hostel, V for Vendetta, The Woods, X3, Superman Returns, 24, Lost, Battlestar Galactica, the World Cup in Germany, Redheads, Buzzcocks and Green On Red. If I'm lucky there'll be trips to the F.A. Cup Final, Cornwall and Sweden, I'll gain great wisdom and find the fountain of youth.
