There's something about Jonathan

Yes, Jonathan Richman is back! He'll be touring Europe in October, accompanied by his drummer Tommy Larkins.

Jojo has no official internet presence and so his fans tend to have to wait for a postcard (above) to arrive by snail mail to hear about forthcoming shows and music releases. In the 21st Century Information Age this is at once both frustrating and kind of cool. However, unofficial fan sites like JojoBlog do help provide Jonathan related news.

Talking of which, Jonathan has written and recorded a track called Our Dog is Getting Older Now for an excellent Save The Children Charity compilation album called Colours Are Brighter:

"Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol, The Kooks and Four Tet are amongst the artists contributing to a collection of childrens songs curated by Belle and Sebastian, to raise funds for childrens charity, Save the Children. Colours are Brighter will be released on Rough Trade on October 16th, with all profits and artist royalties from the record being donated to the charity"
