El Corazón

Something good to play today. El Corazón (1997) is probably my favourite of all Steve Earle's albums and it has an album cover to match. Its songs straddle a wide range of 'americana'; Country ballads and Bluegrass tunes sit comfortably alongside full tilt Rock and Grunge, with Earle's passionate delivery and rebel streak pulling it all together. Great songs are complimented by strong guest appearances from the Supersuckers, the Fairfield Four, the Del McCoury Band and Emmylou Harris. It may be 10 years old now but it has aged well.
