Alt for Norge

It must be great if you come from Norway (#1 in the HDI). Yesterday was Norwegian national day and Sondre Lerche and his band The Faces Down had come to town.

It seemed like the audience in The Scala was primarily made up of Norwegian teenage girls (which was nice!). Sondre and the guys put on a good performance, showcasing songs from his new Phantom Punch album. The pacing of the set felt a bit odd at times with Sondre changing musical styles back and forth between jazzy and new wave pop. The run of the last five songs though really hit the sweet spot: Phantom Punch, Say It All, Dead Passengers, Sleep With Needles and Two Way Monologue (Briljant! Praktfull! Storartet! StrĂ¥lende!)

Two Way Monologue (end clip) - 17th May 2007
