Streets Of San Francisco

As I ride a Cable Car along Powell, I'm almost expecting to see Karl Malden and Michael Douglas speeding by in their car, momentarily flying thru the air as they race over an incline.

Sexy Sal will laugh at you for 50cIt's a beautiful sunny day and just right for a harbour cruise, no fog today, the Golden Gate stands majestically in front of a bright blue sky. The Sealions are honking away, basking in the sunshine at Pier 39. Laughing Sal can be heard at the Musée Méchanique.

Tonight I'll be travelling on the BART up to Concord to catch the latest stop in the Springsteen Seeger Sessions tour. I've not got a ticket yet, some good ones were on sale yesterday for North American residents only - TM being a real pain as usual.

It looks like I'll have to settle for a position on the hillside 'lawn' around the concert bowl - might be nice if the weather holds.

UPDATE: I picked up a great seat that magically appeared on the computer at the box office. Nice venue. A really good show, the sound being the best I've heard so far this tour - maybe because it was an open air performance. 6 Songs I'd not seen on the tour previously, the highlight being a very moving Devils And Dust, not something I was expecting to say. Nice to see Mark 'Love Man' Pender (Trumpet) and La Bamba (Trombone) in the line up for the U.S. leg - they add a bit of extra class and swagger to the horn section.
