'Finally, London is ready for...'
In November, Christmas comes early for Springsteen fans as the 30th Anniversary remaster of Born To Run is released. This is great news in itself as the album has been crying out for sonic upgrade for years. However, the real news is that along with the CD will come two DVDs: A new 90 minute documentary film "Wings For Wheels: The Making of Born To Run" and best of all "Hammersmith Odeon, London '75" a film of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's legendary November 18th concert. The original 16mm camera reel concert footage has been painstakingly cleaned and digitally restored. The BBC have occasionally shown clips from the show over the past 30 years and some (mostly incomplete) bootlegged tracks have circulated amongst fans. Now we're getting the real thing; A full show, the best available video and sound.
The following screen shots are taken from the soon to be eclipsed bootleg DVD...
